About us

World Wide Hearing Foundation International is a Montreal-based nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to hearing care and hearing aids for children and youth in underserved communities worldwide.

More than 430 million people live with disabling hearing loss, yet the vast majority lack access to affordable hearing care. World Wide Hearing works to change this by providing access to affordable hearing aids and hearing care, and by strengthening locally led, sustainable hearing-care systems in partnership with local NGOs, governments, health providers, schools, and community organizations.

Our work focuses on early detection, community-based screening, training of frontline health workers and access to affordable hearing solutions. We support long-term capacity building by training teachers, nurses, and community health workers.

World Wide Hearing has implemented programs in countries including Cameroon, Canada, Guatemala, Kenya, Peru, the Philippines, and Zimbabwe. Our approach emphasizes sustainability, equity, and last-mile delivery, ensuring that hearing care reaches people who would otherwise remain excluded.

Through collaboration with local partners and global supporters, World Wide Hearing helps children learn, adults work, and communities thrive by ensuring that barriers to hearing care do not stand in the way of opportunity.
