About us
The Women’s Support Network (WSN) was established in 1992 and is a feminist, non-profit organization that provides support to survivors of sexual violence and sexual exploitation. WSN is the rape crisis/sexual assault centre for York Region. Our services include:
- A 24 hour crisis line for survivors of sexual violence
- An integrated online chat and SMS platform for crisis support to survivors of sexual violence
- Crisis and ongoing counselling
- Groups/Workshops for survivors of sexual violence
- Prevention education programming
- Outreach to isolated survivors
- Practical assistance, such as access to food vouchers, transportation, personal hygiene items for marginalized survivors of violence
