About us

The Resource Centre has been a key social service provider on the Sunshine Coast since 1992. Originally established as a Women’s Resource Centre, the organization expanded its mandate in 2004 to serve all Lower Coast residents, while continuing to support the needs of women. The Centre provides free information, referral, navigation, and advocacy services to connect individuals with the programs and resources best suited to their needs. Services are offered in person, by phone, by email, and through group presentations and workshops.

Using a grassroots, community development approach, the Resource Centre bases its strategic planning on comprehensive community consultation and needs assessment. The Centre frequently collaborates with other local organizations to enhance the range of services available to Sunshine Coast residents. Its vision is to support a healthy and connected community, and its mission is to act as a navigation and advocacy hub, ensuring fair access to social resources to improve individual and community health.
