Ryandale Transitional Housing

Ryandale Transitional Housing is a Kingston, Ontario-based charitable organization providing safe, abstinence-based transitional housing and support to adults experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Our mission is to help people move from homelessness toward stable, independent living by providing a safe place to live, opportunities to rebuild, and connections to the community supports they need to succeed. Ryandale operates five transitional housing homes for men and women and provides residents with private, furnished rooms in a supportive, structured environment.

Ryandale is not a treatment facility and does not provide clinical counselling. Instead, our staff work alongside residents to establish individualized goals, develop life skills, prepare for employment and permanent housing, and connect residents with appropriate community, health, housing, and social supports.

Our approach is trauma-informed, client-centred, recovery-oriented, and focused on building independence. Residents participate in programming that supports personal development, tenancy readiness, financial and life skills, employment preparation, nutrition, recovery, and successful transition to permanent housing.

Ryandale also works collaboratively with community partners to address the broader barriers that contribute to homelessness. We believe stable housing is the foundation from which people can rebuild their lives, strengthen their connections, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Through transitional housing, community partnerships, peer and alumni initiatives, education, and practical supports, Ryandale is committed to creating pathways from homelessness to hope, stability, and independence.
