About us
Restorations Second Stage Homes (“Restorations”) exists to provide survivor-led, specialized, long-term, holistic care for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation in Canada. Restorations addresses specific problems faced by female survivors to contribute to their rehabilitation and reintegration in society by offering a trauma-informed and strengths-based, long-term residential care program including counseling and other health and support services. Restorations is addressing a major regional service gap in Halton/Hamilton – lack of safe, affordable, long-term housing for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation – with our renovated three bedroom home, Nancy's House, which provides residential programming while building and nurturing trusting, long-term relationships between survivors of sexual exploitation and staff, volunteers and the wider community as a foundation to recovery, healing, empowerment and success. Restorations also provides survivor-led, peer 1:1 and group support which creates shared community while allowing Restorations to build trust and support survivors with case management and agency referral to community resources.
