About us
Our purpose at KidsAbility is to foster possibility for the children, youth, and families we serve, creating a future filled with hope and opportunity.
At KidsAbility, we support over 17,000 children and youth to reach their communication, social, physical and behavioural goals each year.
We envision an innovative and inclusive network of care where every child, youth, and family can live in a future of possibilities. By providing early, family-centered support from birth to age 21, we help children and youth reach key developmental milestones while fostering hope and opportunity.
What we do
- Assess, diagnose, and provide clinical treatment, specialized programs and therapies, and specialized equipment and resources for children and youth with communication, physical or developmental needs;
- Provide access to clinical expertise, consultation and support for families;
- Build capacity in the community through information, knowledge exchange and consultation with professionals and other organizations;
- Participate in research activities in children’s rehabilitation.
Founded by Rotary in 1957, KidsAbility is funded through the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, valued community partners, purchased-service options and the generous support of our community.
