About us
The Kamloops Food Bank was founded in 1981 by Hank Woodland. Since then, it has been a rapidly growing organization that has become a national leader in food security. We provide services for 12,000 clients a month, 25 agencies and several surrounding community food banks. The Kamloops Food Bank collects perishable and non-perishable donations, and distributes more than 11 million pounds of food to those in need each year.
The Kamloops Food Bank operates independently and is a member in good standing of the Food Banks British Columbia and an affiliates member of Food Banks Canada.
