About us
CCI-LEX provides accessible English language classes to adult newcomers with an emphasis on community-building and cultural exchange. We are a registered charity with over 100 volunteers helping us deliver programs, and provide education to more than 1000 newcomers from over 80 different countries on an annual basis.
Our flexible, affordable, and accessible programs reduce barriers faced by newcomers when accessing learning opportunities. Learners can start, stop, and re-enter classes as needed, accommodating for work or childcare schedules, and financial situations. We are well-known for our welcoming, positive learning environment that encourages life-long learning.
Informative workshops, social and recreational excursions, and volunteer activities at local non-profits are offered in addition to classroom learning. These activities improve cultural knowledge and awareness of resources, while also building networks and community connections that foster a sense of belonging.
