About us

Boyle Street Community Services was established in 1971 to support marginalized people in Edmonton living in poverty and homelessness, particularly those of Indigenous descent who make up the majority of this community. In over forty years of operation, BSCS has experienced tremendous growth and has established itself as a leading deliverer of services to and voice for people living in poverty in the inner city and many other areas of Edmonton. While BSCS serves all people equally, and all are welcome in our space, we know that the majority of people we serve are of Indigenous descent. As BSCS continues to grow and expand across the City of Edmonton, the needs of Indigenous community members will always remain central to our work.

The mission of Boyle Street Community Services is to build and provide community support for people experiencing multiple barriers to inclusion and to support all those we serve to grow healthier through involvement in a strong, accepting and respectful community (end chronic homelessness).
