BC College of Family Physicians

As a member-led organization, the BC College of Family Physicians is a passionate, independent champion for family medicine. We bolster the unique and irreplaceable role of family physicians within BC’s healthcare system with a strong position of advocacy, data-informed practice, and a focus on community building. We support family physician-led primary care and work with partners to champion high-quality health care.

We serve the family physicians of today and tomorrow who are making a vital impact on the health of individuals and communities across British Columbia. We know that when family physicians thrive in their careers, individuals will thrive in their health.

We empower, connect, and advocate to bolster the individual and collective experiences of family physicians and advance the field of family medicine. We bring focus to the need for respect and recognition of the specialized training and knowledge of family physicians in the provision of primary care. We work toward a future where every individual across BC receives comprehensive, compassionate, and culturally safe healthcare from a trusted family physician.
