We are always looking for drivers who have good driving records, would like to give back to the community and are reliable and punctual.Please note that this is a volunteer (non-employee) role.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provide local and long-distance transportation for children while abiding by the rules of the road and all driving/automobile related laws.</li><li>Follow all Native Child and Family Services of Toronto policies and procedures as applicable.</li><li>Driver’s abstract must be submitted prior to commencing as a Volunteer Driver and will be completed and submitted to the Family Access Supervisor on an annual basis.</li><li>Must have, and maintain, a minimum of $2,000,000 liability insurance.</li><li>Adherence to mandatory seat belt and child restraint regulations.</li><li>Experience with children is an asset.</li><li>Reliability, flexibility, patience, and confidentiality are all required.</li><li>Vulnerable Sector Clearance must be completed at the start of service, and every 3 years thereafter.</li><li>Must always have a valid G driver’s license.</li><li>Must complete mandatory child safety seat training, as required.</li><li>Hours can include Sunday- Saturday with a range of times depending on the needs of the community member(s), and availability of the driver.
