Salary Range: 130,000 – 180,000

About the Opportunity
Digital Health Canada is entering an exciting period of growth and transformation. As the national association for digital health professionals, we are expanding our influence, partnerships, education, and impact across Canada's health system.
To support this next chapter, we are creating a new executive leadership position: Vice President, Strategic Growth & Partnerships.
Reporting to the CEO, and working with the Digital Health Canada team, this individual will identify and cultivate strategic opportunities that strengthen Digital Health Canada's national influence, diversify revenue, expand partnerships, and position the organization as Canada's trusted convenor for digital health leadership and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Business Development
- Identify emerging markets and growth opportunities aligned with Digital Health Canada’s strategic priorities.
- Propose and develop business cases for new programs, services, events, and initiatives that align with market demand and strategic priorities.
- Develop strategic alliances with healthcare organizations, governments, academic institutions, associations, and private sector partners.
- Build a diversified portfolio of partnerships that create measurable member, and organizational value.
Thought Leadership & Influence
- Serve as a senior ambassador for Digital Health Canada nationally.
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with current and prospective partners, sponsors, and members.
- Conduct regular outreach to understand stakeholder needs and identify opportunities for deeper engagement.
- Ensure high-value client relationship management and retention of strategic partners.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Foresight
- Scan the external environment for emerging opportunities, risks and disruptions.
- Anticipate shifts in government priorities, funding directions, and sector needs.
- Bring forward actionable ideas that position the organization ahead of market changes.
- Provide strategic insights to support board and executive decision-making.
Policy & Public Sector Awareness
- Understand how Canadian governments, health systems, and public agencies operate.
- Recognize opportunities emerging from policy changes, public priorities, and procurement or funding environments.
- Build constructive relationships with public sector leaders and stakeholders.
- Support organizational positioning on relevant sector issues when appropriate.
Executive Leadership & Succession Readiness
- Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to shape organizational strategy and identify long-term opportunities for growth.
- Help shape corporate culture, and future capability.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Progressive experience leading business development, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, strategy, in healthcare or adjacent sectors.
- Strong understanding of Canadian healthcare, digital health, and health policy.
- Demonstrated success generating revenue, partnerships, or strategic alliances.
- Excellent executive presence and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to think strategically and execute pragmatically.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work remotely (private space, wifi, phone).
Preferred
- Experience working with associations, not-for-profits, member organizations, or healthcare networks.
- Familiarity with federal/provincial health systems and policy processes in Canada.
- Established executive relationships across healthcare, government, vendors, academia, or innovation sectors.
- Experience working with boards or governance environments.
- Bilingualism (English/French).
