Title: Community Service Advisor (Roles available across the GTA and SWO)

Position type: Volunteer

Expected commitment time: 5-15 hours/week

Description: We are looking for passionate and community-minded Community Service Advisors (CSA) across Southern Ontario. In this role, you will help connect individuals and families with valuable healthcare and community resources while building meaningful relationships with local organisations. You will be responsible for increasing awareness of available services, organizing educational events and strengthening our presence within the community. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan and coordinate webinars, seminars and events that serve to educate the public and/or healthcare professionals on various topics decided by you and community partners.
  • Build, maintain and strengthen partnerships with community organizations and identify opportunities for new collaborations.
  • Act as a point of contact of community members, introducing them to the programs and services offered by VCH and connecting them with appropriate supports.
  • Create promotional materials and help with outreach for events and initiatives.
  • Maintain records of partnerships, events and outreach using CRM systems and spreadsheets.
  • Collaborate with CSAs from other regions to share ideas, resources and experiences.
  • Represent VCH at community events and networking opportunities.

Relevant skills and experience: We are looking for applications who are

  • Passionate about community engagement and improving access to healthcare.
  • Strong communicators who are organized, proactive and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Comfortable building relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working with others.

Previous experience in related fields is beneficial but not required. We encourage anyone who is eager to learn, grow and make a lasting impact to apply.
