HEAD OF GLOBAL NARRATIVE INTEGRITY — VOLUNTEER, FULL-TIME

Location: Remote (United States, Canada or Europe)

Time Commitment: Full-time volunteer commitment, 35 hours per week. Duration negotiable, four month minimum.

This is a remote volunteer opportunity with Right to Live Canada, a virtual-office based Canadian non-profit start-up.

------ THE MISSION

Right to Live Canada exists to realize the right to live as a practical, supported, executable choice.

We were founded in response to systemic poverty-driven euthanasia amongst Canadians with disabilities: cases where Canadians choose MAiD because they cannot access the essentials required to continue living. This is a specific form of economic euthanasia: euthanasia where a preferable living future existed, but was not achieved.

That crisis remains our founding application point. It is not the boundary of our work.

Right to Live Canada is building Continuity: the service, financial, technological, and institutional architecture required to keep life connected to preferable living futures. We work from the recognition that biological escape velocity may become achievable for a significant portion of people alive today, and that the right to live must now be pursued with the seriousness, urgency, and scale appropriate to that possibility.

Our four core areas are:

• Continuity Service — developing a service to identify, propose, finance and execute preferable living futures in the event of potential death.
• Continuity Insurance — developing a finance model for Continuity Service in the event of potential death scenarios.
• Social Brokerage — developing a system to productize and sell the anonymized outcome of a life supported to the global market as an impact product in exchange for the capital to accomplish it, in order to fund those who cannot afford Continuity Service or Insurance.
• Corporate Farming — developing a global-scale system to take concepts, form a structure around them starting with a team, incubate them internally and nurture their growth towards incorporation, and then emit them as formed non-profits dedicated to their founding concept such as a technology, project, infrastructure or issue.

Right to Live Canada is a founder-centric, early-stage non-profit pursuing rapid national and global expansion. We use the advantages of the non-profit form—volunteer-class labor, sponsorship sales, grants, subsidized infrastructure, open development, impact monetization, and institutional farming—to uphold and extend the right to live for humans and, ultimately, other conscious beings.

------ ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time, volunteer, and remote role for the Head of Global Narrative Integrity with Right to Live Canada.

The Head of Global Narrative Integrity is responsible for establishing the strategic direction, operational priorities, and long-term development of the Global Narrative Integrity Team. This individual leads an international volunteer organization dedicated to strengthening the accuracy, completeness, and contextual integrity of public information surrounding Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) and related public policy issues.

Working in a collaborative newsroom-style environment, the Head of Global Narrative Integrity oversees editorial operations, media intelligence, research, public affairs, outreach, digital operations, and strategic communications. The successful candidate will guide department leads, coordinate organizational priorities, approve major initiatives, and ensure the organization maintains professional standards of evidence, editorial integrity, and constructive engagement.

The role combines elements of executive leadership, editorial management, public affairs, media intelligence, and organizational development. It is best suited to someone capable of building systems, mentoring volunteer leaders, and managing complex multidisciplinary teams in a remote environment.

As the organization expands, the Head of Global Narrative Integrity will also oversee the growth of departmental leadership, establish operational standards, refine organizational workflows, and represent the organization in discussions with journalists, researchers, institutions, and strategic partners. The position plays a central role in ensuring that all Global Narrative Integrity initiatives remain evidence-based, professionally executed, and aligned with the organization's mission of strengthening the public record.

------ PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include:

• Provide strategic leadership for the Global Narrative Integrity Team.
• Establish annual and quarterly organizational priorities.
• Supervise department leads across Editorial Operations, Media Intelligence, Research & Evidence, Editorial Outreach, Public Affairs, Digital Operations, and Strategic Communications.
• Make final escalation decisions regarding high-priority initiatives and organizational responses.
• Coordinate weekly leadership meetings and oversee departmental planning.
• Ensure editorial quality, factual accuracy, and evidence-based decision-making throughout the organization.
• Build relationships with journalists, researchers, policymakers, academic institutions, and external stakeholders.
• Support the development of scalable operational systems, volunteer training, and organizational documentation.
• Review organizational metrics, performance indicators, and department reports to guide strategic decision-making.
• Participate in daily editorial briefings and weekly operational reviews.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure consistency, professionalism, and continuous organizational improvement.
• Contribute to the development of policies, operating procedures, and long-term organizational strategy.

This is a high-ownership leadership position suited to an individual who can operate with consistency, sound judgment, and professionalism within a rapidly growing nonprofit organization. The expected commitment is 35+ hours per week, with preference given to candidates able to contribute additional time during major organizational initiatives or periods of rapid expansion.

------ QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Experience in executive leadership, organizational management, public affairs, journalism, communications, nonprofit leadership, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, strategic planning, and time-management abilities.
• Experience evaluating evidence and making informed decisions based on research.
• Comfort working remotely with a high degree of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
• Ability to mentor volunteers and develop future organizational leaders.
• Professional judgment, discretion, and reliability when representing the organization externally.
• Commitment to a full-time volunteer schedule of approximately 35 hours per week.

Preferred

• Experience leading nonprofit organizations, startups, or mission-driven initiatives.
• Experience in media relations, editorial leadership, public affairs, or strategic communications.
• Familiarity with OSINT, media intelligence, or evidence-based research methodologies.
• Experience developing operational systems, governance frameworks, or organizational policies.
• Background working with journalists, academic institutions, government, or public-interest organizations.
• Interest in building a globally scalable, evidence-driven public affairs organization.

This is a full-time volunteer role requiring a minimum commitment of 35 hours per week. Right to Live Canada is an early-stage, founder-led organization pursuing rapid national and global expansion. The role is best suited to someone who is comfortable with startup intensity, high responsibility, and a culture of serious dedication to the mission.
