The Role

As Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you will play a vital role in advancing the mission and goals of The Toronto Local Charity. This position is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies to raise awareness, engage stakeholders, and drive support for the organization's initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Believing in our cause is mandatory 😃
  • Prior experience in marketing and communications roles, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative marketing strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to non-profit marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy:
  • Collaborate on comprehensive plans and audience engagement strategies.
  • Content Creation:
  • Generate content for various platforms.
  • Write and edit articles, blogs, and promotional materials.
  • Social Media Management:
  • Maintain and update social media accounts.
  • Execute campaigns to raise awareness and engage the community.
  • Media Relations:
  • Cultivate relationships with local media outlets.
  • Event Promotion:
  • Assist in planning and promoting events.
  • Develop marketing materials for events.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Engage with clients (participants), donors, volunteers, and partners.
  • Respond promptly and professionally.
  • Website Management:
  • Update website with relevant content.
  • Ensure user-friendly design and functionality.
