Unpaid Volunteer Position

York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta.

We are looking for YRES Logistics Support—someone devoted to giving back to their community and can sort and check the LEGO Robotics kits for upcoming events. This is an important role for YRES as it has a large impact on our camps we provide!

The YRES Logistics support is responsible for:

  • Arriving to the event independently
  • Sorting kit pieces into their correct tray sections
  • Checking that each kit has the required components
  • Flagging any missing or damaged items

Friday, June 26, 2026 & Saturday, June 27, 2026

Shifts:
Friday, June 26, 2026: 8:00am-10:00am, 10:00am-12:00pm, 1:00pm-3:00pm, 3:00pm-5:00pm
Saturday, June 27, 2026: 8:00am-10:00am, 10:00am-12:00pm, 1:00pm-3:00pm, 3:00pm-5:00pm

    Who We're Looking For:

  • Minimum age: 12
  • Able to independently arrive to work on time
  • Passionate about volunteering and excited to learn
  • Can commit to scheduled time of the shift
  • Fluency in English
  • Highly organized, detail-orientated and capable of managing multiple tasks
