We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds a CPA designation or equivalent financial leadership experience (strongly encouraged)
  • Has a strong background in finance, accounting, audit, risk management, or financial oversight
  • Understands governance best practices within the non-profit or public sector
  • Can analyze budgets, financial statements, and organizational risk
  • Brings strategic thinking, sound judgment, and collaborative leadership
  • Is passionate about community impact and equitable access to learning opportunities

Board Responsibilities

  • Attend monthly Board meetings (with breaks in July/August and December)
  • Participate actively on at least one Board committee
  • Review financial reports, budgets, and strategic priorities
  • Support organizational accountability and long-term sustainability
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization and its mission

Commitment

  • Volunteer position
  • Approximately 5–8 volunteer hours per month (hybrid)
  • Two-year terms (+ renewal).
