We are seeking individuals who are passionate about community impact and bring experience in areas such as:

  • Governance and strategic leadership
  • Communications, marketing, or fundraising
  • Literacy and/or adult education
  • Human resources or people leadership
  • Finance, legal, operations, or organizational development
  • Equity, inclusion, and community development

Previous Board experience is welcome but not required.

Board Responsibilities

  • Attend monthly Board meetings (with breaks in summer and December)
  • Participate on at least one committee
  • Contribute to strategic discussions and organizational planning
  • Support strong governance and accountability practices
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization and its mission

Commitment

  • Volunteer position
  • Approximately 5–8 volunteer hours per month
  • Two year terms (+ renewal)
