As a Community Connector, you will help build relationships, raise awareness, and identify opportunities for people in your community to get involved and make a meaningful difference.

Your efforts will help support the hundreds of thousands of Canadians living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis today, and help move us closer to cures tomorrow.

Role Overview

The Community Connector builds meaningful connections that increase awareness, education, and promotion of fundraising opportunities within your local community.

This role involves virtual and in-person interactions.

This role focuses on strengthening relationships, representing Crohn’s and Colitis Canada at local events, identifying opportunities that enhance community engagement, and supporting greater participation in our fundraising initiatives.

Are You the Right Fit for the Team?

  • Identify opportunities to share educational resources about Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
  • Support and strengthen local fundraising initiatives and community-led events
  • Promote participation in events such as Gutsy Walk
  • Work closely with staff partners and other volunteers to grow community engagement

Time Commitment:

  • Approximately 4- 6 hours per month (flexible scheduling)
  • Occasional evenings or weekends to attend meetings or events
  • Minimum 1-year commitment

What You Bring:

  • Experience with community outreach and networking, and comfort speaking with community members and small groups
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to stay organized and responsive to emerging opportunities
  • A genuine interest in community engagement and building partnerships
  • Existing community connections are an asset
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently while collaborating with staff and volunteers

What We Offer:

  • A supportive volunteer community
  • A dedicated staff partner to provide guidance and support
