<h3>Join Our Board of Directors</h3><p><strong>Patient, Client &amp; Family Council (PCFC)</strong></p><p>Are you passionate about mental health, lived experience, and strengthening patient-centered care?<br>The Patient, Client &amp; Family Council (PCFC) is seeking volunteer members to join our Board of Directors and help guide our growing non-profit organization.</p><p>As a peer-led organization, PCFC ensures the voices of patients, clients, and families are heard across mental health systems — locally, regionally, and provincially. Our work is built on lived experience, collaboration, and compassion, helping to shape programs and policies that reflect real needs and meaningful recovery.</p><h3>What You’ll Do</h3><p>As a member of the Board, you will:</p><ul><li>Provide strategic guidance and oversight for PCFC’s mission and priorities</li><li>Support organizational growth, sustainability, and governance practices</li><li>Champion the value of lived experience in all aspects of mental health care</li><li>Participate in quarterly board meetings (in-person or virtual) and occasional committee work</li><li>Act as an ambassador for PCFC in the community</li></ul><h3>Who We’re Looking For</h3><p>We welcome individuals who:</p><ul><li>Have lived or supportive experience with mental health or addiction recovery</li><li>Are passionate about advocacy, inclusion, and system change</li><li>Bring experience in one or more of the following areas: non-profit governance, finance, human resources, communications, law, health care, or community engagement</li><li>Are team players who believe in collaborative leadership and diverse perspectives</li><li>Previous board experience is an asset but not required. The Board of Directors plays a vital role in promoting our vision and increasing mental health and 
addiction awareness in our community.   
 
The Board meets monthly except for March, July, August, and December. Committee Meetings are held 
January, April, October and Board Meetings are held February, May, June, September, November on the 
third Wednesday of the month and are scheduled to run from 6:00PM to 8:00PM with a light supper 
provided if in-person otherwise held via MS Teams. Occasionally, additional Board meetings are required 
and are usually held via MS Teams meetings. The Board also has one evening (dinner) Board meeting 
(tbd).  
 
Board membership is a voluntary and, therefore, unpaid activity. Legitimate expenses (mileage, meals, 
child-care etc. are reimbursed). If a Board member requires it, transportation is provided to Board events.  
 
Must live at a primary permanent address in District of Municipality Muskoka or District of Parry Sound. 
 
We welcome and encourage consumers and family members to apply.  Education and training in 
Indigenous culture an asset.
