The Distribution Centre in South Vancouver is UGM's donation processing centre, optimizing our capacity to receive and distribute essential supplies across our locations in Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, and Victoria. From the Distribution Centre, donations are sorted, priced, and tagged to be distributed in their designated locations including our Vancouver Thrift Store and Found Boutique Store in New Westminster.&nbsp;This special guest volunteer opportunity provides you with a chance to try out a few shifts and get a taste of what it's like to volunteer with our Distribution Centre team on weekdays.&nbsp;TasksAssist with sorting,&nbsp;tagging, and hanging donations.&nbsp;Wrapping&nbsp;palletsCleaning and moppingDrying and washing clothing.&nbsp;​This role may involve lifting and bending - volunteers will need to be able to lift at least 15 lbs.&nbsp;

Thrift Shop Change Room Attendant

<h3>What You’ll Be Doing:</h3>As a volunteer, you'll support day-to-day operations and help create a positive, respectful experience for everyone in our store. Tasks include:<ul>	<li>	Greeting customers with kindness and offering assistance	</li>	<li>	Providing positive, respectful interactions with customers, staff, and fellow volunteers	</li>	<li>	Receiving, sorting, and inspecting donations	</li>	<li>	Merchandising, tagging, and pricing items	</li>	<li>	Organizing and hanging clothing	</li>	<li>	Promoting the store and encouraging donations	</li></ul>&nbsp;Optional:&nbsp;Interested in cashiering? We offer&nbsp;cashier training&nbsp;for volunteers who are comfortable with processing payments. Only trained volunteers will be assigned to the till.&nbsp;<h3> Shifts Available:</h3>Our standard shifts are between 3-4 hours.
