The mission is to author an "insurance industry quality" report that models a significant, uncalculated financial liability for the Canadian life insurance sector.This risk is created by the intersection of two independent policies:<ol><li>MAID Legislation (Bill C-7): Expanded MAID access in 2021 to include individuals with non-terminal disabilities.</li><li>Insurance Industry Policy: The established industry stance that a legal MAID procedure is&nbsp;not "suicide," meaning the standard two-year suicide exclusion clause on new policies does not apply.</li></ol>This convergence has unintentionally created a new pathway to a full policy payout, driven by poverty-related suffering.
