Working in alignment with the organization’s virtual-first strategy, the Chapter Lead will spearhead one in-person community event per month and engage in strategic outreach to local businesses, nonprofits, institutions, and municipal agencies. They will play a central role in fostering partnerships, increasing user acquisition, and sustaining long-term community impact. A core aspect of this role involves promoting our platform, the Generosity Hub, as the go-to resource for direct-source volunteering in the region.This is a remote-first, part-time position that requires in-person presence for local activations. meets 9x per year with breaks over the summer and December. Approximate time 
commitment is 2-3 hours per month

Board Member (Volunteer Role)

This new part-time position (one-year contract with possible renewal, 0.57 FTE) provides administrative support to Camp NeeKauNis throughout the year. The Camp Administrator is accountable to CYM’s General Secretary-Treasurer and a designated person from the Camp NeeKauNis Committee. Canadian Yearly Meeting (CYM) of the Religious Society of Friends is the formal name of the main organization of Quakers in Canada. Quakers are a faith group. CYM is made up of different meetings, groups, and committees. Quakers within the worship community do most of our work with CYM’s paid staff support. Camp NeeKauNis is a Quaker-run, intergenerational summer camp under the care of CYM and operates with the support of a dedicated, volunteer-run steering committee and subcommittees. The Role: 
The Coordinator, Group Services provides operational and administrative support to the respite and camp 
departments. 
 
What your Day Looks Like: 
 • Conducts ongoing client and family intake meetings, screenings, and assessments to determine program fit 

and eligibility. Collaborate with Supervisor to develop cohesive group pairings (staff/client). 
 • Manages program registration to include: creating programs on Amilia, registering clients, managing client 

waitlists, making registration adjustments, updating Salesforce etc. 
 • Manages program registrations finances to include; processing refunds, liaising with accounting, creating 

and implementing payment plans, creating custom invoices, adjusting payments based on program grants 
and subsidies, etc. Conducting orientations, collecting client documents, liaising with families to develop 
ISP’s, and collecting caregiver data. 

 • Program development and quality assurance oversight to include: pre/post data collection, develop and 
administer parent training materials, monitoring current program offerings in the sector. 

 • Assists Supervisor with hiring and onboarding staff to include: pre-screening interviews, training staff (e.g. 
CPI, policies and procedures, etc.), attending job fairs for recruitment. 

 • Assists Supervisor with developing and planning marketing material to include: social media posts, 
community outreach, updating website, newsletter content, attending program fairs. 

 • Manages client related documentation to include: collecting, reviewing and organizing all client 
documentation, ensuring documentation is up to date, sharing relevant updates with team members, 
creating ISP in partnership with caregivers, etc. 

 • Meets regularly with Program Coordinator and Intake team. 
 • Assist with ensuring programs areas and clients understand and follow all GCA polices and procedures to 

include Health and Safety responsibilities. 
 • Participates in team and staff meetings regularly and to contribute to program development initiatives 

within the team and across the GCA. 
 • Other administrative and program duties as assigned. 
 
What you Bring to the Role: 
 • University degree in relevant field. 


 
 
 • At least 4 years’ experience working in a related discipline including providing support to families with ASD. 
 • Previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities and/or Autism. 
 • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills. 
 • Demonstrate strength as a team player. 
 • Effective problem solving and judgement skills. 
 • Superior organizational and time management skills. 
 • Must be proficient with various computer programs. 
 • Vulnerable Sector Screening.

The Durham Rape Crisis Centre (DRCC) is a non-profit feminist organization

gender. We work with and provide crisis and support services via 24/7 phone and 
chat, counselling (individual and group), anti-violence advocacy, accompaniment, 
and support services for survivors of sexual violence and their families/support 
people. We are committed to taking an active role in our community to end all forms 
of violence against women and children. As a Rape Crisis Centre we work with and 
provide support services to recent as well as historical or childhood survivors of 
sexual assault, sexual harassment, and childhood sexual abuse and their families.

Summary of Role 

As a Bingo/Casino volunteer you will be representing the DRCC at a local 
Ontario Lottery Gaming location and acting as an advocate and with general 
customer service skills. The DRCC is fortunate to receive a portion of profits through 
the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association, and as such we are required to 
represent our organization at a local OLG business during our set hours. You will be 
provided a collared shirt, name tag, and will be sharing information about the DRCC, 
and supporting general operations at the gaming location. 
 
Role Responsibilities 

â Attend general DRCC training/orientation 
â Represent DRCC as an advocate during set hours (2 hour shifts) 
â Attend OCGA/OLG online training, and shadow an experienced volunteer

The Young Caregivers Association 
 Established in 2003, the Young Caregivers Association (YCA) has transformed the lives of 
young caregivers, the unseen population of family caregivers. We’re the first organization and 
registered charity in Canada dedicated to supporting young caregivers and their families who 
live in rural and urban communities, while building awareness across Canada. 
 
Young caregivers are children, youth, and young adults ages 5 to 25 who provide care for a 
family member due to a chronic illness, disability, mental health concern, substance misuse, or 
socioeconomic factor (e.g., a language barrier). Young caregivers help their family members in 
various ways by caring for their siblings or providing personal, emotional, or financial support. 
 
We collaborate with community partners to bring specialized programs and expertise to 
professionals and organizations across Canada, giving them the tools they need to positively 
impact children, youth and young adults. 
 
Looking Forward 
Our vision is to see young caregivers and their families recognized, supported, and empowered 
in Ontario so they are all able to achieve their full potential. 
 
 
YCA is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for volunteer Board Members 
to support the strategic oversight of operations while focusing on sustainability, expansion, and 
excellence. The successful candidate is elected for a three-year term. It is expected that Board 
Members will attend regular board meetings and sit on at least one Board committee. Board 
meetings take place monthly in the evening and are held in person and through Zoom. 
Attendance at committee meetings is required. A typical month requires about 10 hours of time.
