These services are tailored to the specific needs of everyone, and you will work to build a clear and strong natural support systemYOUR IMPACT:<ul><li>Support individuals living independently, or striving for independence, with daily living tasks.</li><li>Assist individuals in planning activities that meaningfully engage them and expand their social networks, community connections, and experiences.</li><li>Provide targeted and meaningful supports that enrich everyone’s chosen lifestyle, with the goal of gradually fading out when appropriate.</li><li>Encourage independent decision-making that is safe and respects the dignity of risk.</li><li>Work independently and as part of a team that values communication, integrity, diversity, and self-advocacy.</li></ul>YOUR CAPABILITIES:<ul><li>Relevant post-secondary education in a related field and at least one year of experience supporting people with developmental disabilities in a similar environment.</li><li>In-depth knowledge of community-based supported living programs for persons with developmental disabilities.</li><li>Advanced computer skills with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and preferably experience with ShareVision.</li><li>Current CPR and First Aid certification, along with a clear Criminal Record Check.</li><li>Valid BC driver’s license and access to a vehicle.</li><li>Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.</li></ul>***&nbsp;This position requires flexibility to work shifts scheduled anytime between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday. ***Aspire Richmond Support Society provides a continuum of care throughout the lifespan of individuals with disabilities. Volunteer Opportunity: Ladner Non-Profit Seeks Volunteers to Support Neuroscience Care in West Africa&nbsp;The Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation (KBNF) is a Canadian-based charity dedicated to helping people in West Africa who suffer from brain and spine conditions. Together, with partners in West Africa, we are building excellence in neuroscience care.&nbsp;A big part of this work starts right here in Canada, at our warehouse in Delta through the incredible efforts of volunteers like you.&nbsp;We’re currently seeking volunteers to help us:<ul><li>Sort, fold, and pack donated medical supplies</li><li>Sew, knit, or crochet comfort items for patients</li><li>Clean and restore donated medical equipment</li><li>Load and prepare containers for overseas shipment</li></ul>These supplies, many of which would otherwise end up in Canadian landfills, are carefully collected, repurposed, and shipped to hospitals and clinics across West Africa where they support essential surgeries and care and even save lives.Volunteer during the week or on one of our Volunteer Saturdays.&nbsp;Volunteer days are hands-on, team-oriented, and highly meaningful.
