Gutsy Walk is Crohn’s and Colitis Canada’s signature national fundraising event celebrated on the first Sunday of June each year. Thousands of people across Canada come together on one day to raise money to advance medical research and improve the lives of Canadians who are affected by these diseases.&nbsp;&nbsp;This role involves in-person interactions.&nbsp;&nbsp;Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Adhere to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada policies and procedures, including the Volunteer Code of Conduct&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Work collaboratively with a team of volunteers to plan and promote your local Gutsy Walk.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Act as a role model by registering for Gutsy Walk and supporting fundraising, directly or indirectly (by sharing new ideas and leads, doing your own fundraising, promoting the event amongst your network&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;Ways You Can Support Your Local Gutsy Walk:&nbsp;<ul><li>Attend Gutsy Walk Planning: Participate in scheduled meetings to stay informed, share updates, and take on assigned tasks.&nbsp;</li><li>Community Outreach –Inspire participation by posting on community boards, distributing posters, and spreading the word locally.&nbsp;</li><li>Media Relations – Connect with local media outlets to promote the Gutsy Walk&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Social Media – Raise awareness about Crohn’s and colitis and promote the Gutsy Walk through your own social media channels.&nbsp;</li><li>Sponsorship – Engage local businesses by sharing your story and presenting sponsorship packages (with staff support for follow-up). Encourage donations, sponsorships, and gifts-in-kind by identifying potential contributors.&nbsp;</li><li>Network&nbsp; – build relationships with Gutsy Walk Committee, local community members and participants.
