Easter Seals BC/Yukon is seeking a&nbsp;Director Philanthropy &amp; Engagement&nbsp;to play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to inspire communities across BC and the Yukon to support and enable access for individuals with disabilities.&nbsp;Reporting to the President &amp; CEO and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Easter Seals BC &amp; Yukon, the Director Philanthropy &amp; Engagement will advance the mission by increasing the reach of the organization’s work, enhancing the overall reputation for excellence and expertise, driving the philanthropy strategy to fund current programs and services, and strengthen relationships with government and community partners, donors and granting agencies. (Primary Objective #1)<ul><li>Ensure donors are contacted throughout the year to show care and appreciation.</li><li>Send regular updates and prayer requests sent to donors to ensure they feel connected and engaged with the work in Cambodia.</li><li>Send personal invitations to donors for local events.</li><li>Collects prayer requests from donors and shares with IHQ team.</li><li>In collaboration with the Development and Communications Director, develops, implements and evaluates a monthly donor plan.</li><li>Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Ratanak International as an organization, its Cambodian projects, Cambodian history, and relevant current events to convey accurate information to donors and potential donors.</li></ul>Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of Ratanak’s donor management system&nbsp;(Primary Objective #2)<ul><li>Continually assesses the efficiency of the donor database system, making suggestions to the Finance and Administration Director and Development and Communications Director as to potential improvements.</li><li>Assists the Development and Communications Department in preparing or implementing donor engagement and appreciation initiatives as requested.</li><li>Assists with the distribution of campaign or donor appreciation mailings.</li><li>Maintains updated donor information email lists for e-newsletters, prayer bulletins, event notices, campaigns and donor appreciation mailings.</li><li>Tracks donor giving and compares to previous year to ensure retention of donors and to follow up as needed to ensure no lapse in donations from year to year.</li><li>Under supervision of the Finance and Administration Director and Development and Communication Director, reviews data entry systems, procedures, and internal controls to ensure that they comply with government regulations and charity best practices.</li></ul>Oversee the administration of donations, tax receipting, and donor reporting (Primary Objective #3)<ul><li>Accurately and efficiently enters donation data into Ratanak’s CRM system, ensuring careful attention to donor designation, contact information, mailing preferences,&nbsp;important donor correspondence, and segmented mailing lists.</li><li>Prepares, prints, distributes and maintains tax receipts, acknowledgement letters, and thank you letters ongoing during the year and at year-end according to existing protocols.</li><li>Maintains an up-to-date understanding on tax receipting rules and regulations.</li><li>Creates weekly, monthly, and annual reconciliation reports to ensure Ratanak’s CRM fully reconciles with the accounting system - Quickbooks.</li><li>Prepares donation information, reports, and lists as requested.</li><li>Assists with basic donations analysis in coordination with the Development and Communication Director.</li><li>Provides advice on how to best-run reports to help staff better utilize the database.</li></ul>Administrative support duties are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner to ensure smooth daily operations of the organization. (Primary Objective 4)<ul><li>Answers all incoming phone calls as the primary receptionist and regularly checks voicemail and returns missed calls.</li><li>Responds to general inquiry emails in a timely manner.</li><li>Manages implementation of all regular weekly office mailings.</li><li>Manages office supply levels and purchases supplies as needed (including stationary, cleaning and kitchen supplies).</li><li>Manages supplies and servicing for office equipment, such as the photocopier/printers.</li><li>Manages various in-office schedules (ie: cleaning, devotional, birthday cards).</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Required Education:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Diploma in bookkeeping, accounting, office management, data management is an asset.</li></ul></li><li>Required Experience:<ul><li>Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting, bookkeeping, and fundraising principles and practices is an asset.</li><li>Knowledge of applicable charity law and financial protocols is an asset.</li><li>Working knowledge and proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software is an asset.</li></ul></li><li>Minimum of one year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, data entry, and/or other relevant administrative experience in either a staff or volunteer position.</li><li>Minimum of one year experience of progressive responsibility in fundraising, donor stewardship, database management and / or donor communications.</li><li>Exceptional organizational ability along with meticulous attention to detail.</li><li>Highly efficient and independent worker demonstrating flexibility and multi-tasking abilities.</li><li>Excellence in oral and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and diplomacy.</li><li>Proven ability to exercise initiative and judgment while handling an extensive workload with accuracy and efficiency.</li><li>Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.</li><li>Positive attitude and team player.</li><li>Non-Profit industry work or volunteer experience is an asset.</li></ul>Computer Competencies:&nbsp;<ul><li>MS Office Suite is required.</li><li>CRM software is an asset, particularly Little Green Light.</li></ul>

Donor Care Coordinator

Volunteer Board Members are needed for a secretary position who has experience and or passion for&nbsp;youth, education, community building, committee creation, visionary, community outreach and engagement all are assets we would welcome around our table to advise and consult in the advancement of the organization.
