Job Summary:&nbsp;The incumbent will investigate and assess child protection referrals as well as respond to inquiries and non-child protection referrals. Provide counseling utilizing crisis intervention and problem-solving skills. Provide various agency support services. Provide ongoing (voluntary and non-voluntary) child protection services to children, youth, and families where the child/youth needs protection or is at risk of maltreatment. A Brief Overview &nbsp;Reporting to the Manager, Inclusive Research in the Vice-Principal Research Portfolio and receiving strategic support from the Office of the Vice-Principal (Culture, Equity and Inclusion), the Research Advisor, Inclusion and Community Engagement plays an integral role in supporting inclusive and community-based research; and is responsible for contributing to the University's overall Indigenization-Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility and Anti-Racism (I-EDIAA) objectives. This position provides expert advice and education to address I-EDIAA requirements in provincial, national and international funding competitions, and serves as a primary contact and strategic resource for researchers to integrate I-EDIAA into research practice and research design. The Research Advisor, Inclusion and Community Engagement leads training, education and professional development activities to support the implementation of I-EDIAA initiatives within the Queen's research community. Dedicated activities include formulating expert advice, creating educational tools, resources, knowledge mobilization products, and delivery of presentations, workshops and training on I-EDIAA in research and research co-creation that addresses and responds to community-identified challenges.
