Meals on Wheels Volunteer Driver

As a delivery driver for Meals on Wheels, you will be responsible for:- the pick up of meals from our location,- the delivery of meals to our clients as well as&nbsp;a short visit or check-in on the safetly and well-being of our clients- the return of the meal containers and route sheets to our locationDrivers are needed from 9:30am to 12:30pm, Monday to Friday only. Times are dependent on the route you would be delivering and the&nbsp;number of clients/meals on the route that day.Drivers are required to have a class 5 Canadian Drivers License, must be able to read and follow maps, and read and understand English.&nbsp;Drivers will be reimbursed $0.80 per km travelled while delivering our meals to help with gas and vehicle expenses.&nbsp;Having excellent interpersonal skills and being compassionate and sensitive to the needs of seniors and those that are homebound are great assets for this position! A Criminal Record Check will be required.
