As a key member of the Student Wellbeing team, the Social Worker will work with students and 
their families within our Middle School division, with the objective of optimizing their overall 
wellbeing at school. Reporting to the Associate Head, Wellbeing, the Social Worker will have a 
comprehensive understanding of the psychosocial needs of young children, and will support 
students and families in addressing the social, behavioural, and emotional factors which impact a 
student's overall school experience. 
 
This role follows a 10âmonth work schedule aligned with the academic year, working from 
late August to late June each year and is off during the summer. 
 
Given the dynamic and collaborative nature of our school environment, this role is an on-campus 
position requiring to be on-campus five days a week. Candidates should be prepared to

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

â Consultation with students, parents and faculty; provide guidance and assistance in 
support of the psychosocial health and well-being of students

â Masters degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and membership in good standing with the

In collaboration with national and international networks, organizations and other supporters, MiningWatch Canada:<ul><li>Provides timely support to mining-affected communities and related organizations;</li><li>Undertakes research and analysis of industrial mining and related policies and laws in Canada and concerning Canadian mining operations abroad;</li><li>Engages in related campaigns and movement building; and</li><li>Advocates for greater protections for Indigenous peoples and affected communities, as well as for justice and reparations for harms from mining by changing the policies, laws, and economic conditions that perpetuate mining-related abuses and injustice.</li></ul>MiningWatch Canada has a small staff team with a shared management model.
