The Vice-President, Communication and Marketing, is responsible for the development, supervision, and execution of all 
communication and marketing strategies for the Canadian Pride Historical Society. This includes managing social media, the 
organization’s website, translation services, media relations, and graphic and video design. The role focuses on increasing 
awareness, engagement, and support for the organization's mission by ensuring consistent, inclusive messaging that aligns 
with the organization’s strategic plan. 


Duties &amp; Responsibilities 

• Develop and implement the Integrated Marketing Communications Plan, aligning it with the organization's strategic 
objectives. 

• Manage the organization’s website, social media channels, and digital platforms to ensure they reflect the mission 
and brand identity. 

• Ensure all external communication materials are consistent with the organization's brand identity across various 
platforms. 

• Handle translation and graphic design requests to ensure materials are accessible and visually appealing. 

• Write and issue media releases, coordinate interview requests, and manage media-related events to boost public 
visibility. 

• Lead and mentor the communication and marketing team, fostering a collaborative environment. 

• Analyze and report on the effectiveness of communication efforts, using data to refine strategies. 
 

Qualifications: 

• Education and/or 2-3 years of experience in marketing, advertising, sales, journalism, communication, or related 
fields. 

• Previous experience managing an organization’s communication or marketing area, preferably in the not-for-profit 
sector. 

• Proven supervisory experience, with a track record of leading a team of 4-6 individuals. 

• Proficiency in project management, with strong prioritization and time management skills to meet deadlines. 

• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. 

• Experience with digital marketing tools, analytics, and content management systems. 

• Previous experience speaking to the media and handling media relations is considered an asset. 

• The ability to speak and write French is considered an asset.

Le/la chef.fe d'équipe bénévole de conception et de traduction de la Société historique de la fierté canadienne est chargé de 
superviser les monteurs vidéo, les coordonnateurs de la conception graphique et les coordonnateurs de la traduction. Ce rôle 
soutient la création et la diffusion de ressources éducatives et d'outils de marketing qui s'alignent sur nos projets et nos 
initiatives stratégiques. Ce poste requiert un engagement de 8 à 10 heures par mois avec un horaire très flexible. 
 
Tâches et responsabilités : 

• Coordonner et gérer les activités des monteurs/ monteuses vidéo, des coordinateurs/coordinatrices de la 
conception graphique et des coordinateurs de la traduction afin d'assurer la cohérence et la livraison du projet dans 
les délais impartis. 

• Collaborer avec les membres de l'équipe pour produire et monter des vidéos mettant en lumière l'histoire des 
personnes de genre, de sexualité et de relations diverses (GSRD) au Canada. 

• Fournir une orientation créative et des commentaires afin de maintenir des normes élevées en matière de qualité 
de la conception et de la traduction. 

• Superviser le développement de ressources graphiques pour diverses plateformes, y compris l'impression, le web et 
les médias sociaux.

Reporting to the CEO, this role oversees finance and administration, people and culture, governance support, digital systems, and organizational policy and compliance.This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in improving processes, supporting staff, and building strong operational foundations in a small, collaborative non-profit environment (~20 staff).Key Accountabilities:1.
