Treasurer - Volunteer Board Position

Nelson House of Ottawa Carleton is seeking four exceptional individuals of all ages and from diverse backgrounds to join our Board of Directors. Established in 1992, Nelson House is a non-profit shelter that provides emergency shelter and social services for individuals and families who are fleeing abuse in their lives. Nelson House also works with other groups and individuals to end violence and promote safety. The Board plays a critical role in the governance of Nelson House and has regular Board meetings monthly. Board members also participate in the Board’s committees including the Governance, Finance, Human Resources, and Fundraising Committees. Meetings are currently held alternatively in person and virtually.
