The ride starts and ends at Queen Margaret's School (660 Brownsey Ave, Duncan, BC), with several rest stops along the way.MS Bike is an energizing challenge you can feel good about. Going the distance makes a difference and every kilometer ridden brings us closer to a world free of multiple sclerosis. By volunteering, you'll play a crucial role in making this event a success while having fun, meeting new people, and supporting people affected by MS.These events would not be possible without the support of hundreds of dedicated volunteers donating their time. Volunteers are needed in a variety of roles to help ensure a smooth event and provide an exceptional experience for cyclists as they ride to raise funds to support those affected by MS:The Rest Stop Coordinator will work closely with the team at MS Canada to establish a safe ride for participants by ensuring access to well-equipped rest stops. &nbsp;Responsibilities : &nbsp;- Work with the staff lead and Route Coordinator to determine rest stop locations &nbsp;- Approach rest stops with request, and ensure agreement is signed and followed through &nbsp;- Assist with packaging rest stop supply boxes &nbsp;- Make sure rest stops are set up with the necessities &nbsp;- Plan, acquire, and confirm rest stop set up supplies &nbsp;- Ensure volunteers are cheerleading for cyclists as they come through and relaying any relevant information &nbsp;- Confirm volunteers are cleaning and packing up when finished &nbsp;- Make sure recovery zones are set up with the necessities, route maps, basic first aid kit &nbsp;&nbsp;Interested? Whether you live with MS or know someone who does, MS Walk is a place to forge meaningful connections and build lifelong relationships that bring us closer toward a world free of MS. &nbsp;&nbsp; As part of the MS Walk Committee, you will plan and execute an inclusive, engaging event to connect and empower the MS community in your region. &nbsp;MS impacts all Canadians, which is why we urge people to move forward together at MS Walk and help build awareness for the disease, raising much needed funds to allow us to continue to support people affected by MS. &nbsp;This is a great opportunity to make an impact in your community using your talent and time.&nbsp; The Volunteer Coordinator will work closely with the team at MS Canada to ensure we have support from a fantastic group of Day of Event Volunteers.
