The Busby Centre is a community-based agency that believes in the Housing First and Harm Reduction philosophies and practices. We strive to improve the quality of life for people who are struggling with chronic homelessness, significant mental health issues and substance misuse.  Our program provides individuals a place to stay, and staff support 24/7, along with a variety of on-site services to help people experiencing homelessness transition to housing and successfully stay housed.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Co-Management Program Manager (Evening) provides operational and strategic leadership for all Busby Centre programs during evening hours. This role works collaboratively with other management staff to oversee frontline teams delivering direct services across Emergency Response, Community Support, and Supportive &amp; Transitional Housing Programs. Overview: We are seeking a Finance Committee Chair with strong expertise in bookkeeping, nonprofit accounting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial oversight, help maintain transparent fiscal management, and ensure compliance with nonprofit reporting standards.Responsibilities:Oversee preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements.Lead budget development and forecasting processes.Ensure adherence to nonprofit financial regulations and best practices.Coordinate with the Treasurer, Executive Director, and auditors to maintain accurate records.Guide financial decision-making for sustainability and growth.Qualifications:Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping or accounting (QuickBooks or equivalent preferred).Deep understanding of nonprofit finance, IRS Form 990 compliance, and restricted/unrestricted fund management.Strong budgeting, reporting, and analytical skills.Prior board or committee leadership experience is an asset.Commitment:Attend quarterly finance meetings and periodic board sessions.Estimated time commitment: 6–8 hours per month.
