YRES Event Support Assistant (CYO Camp Marydale)

York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a YRES Event Support Assistant—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves socializing.

The YRES Event Support Assistant is responsible for:

• Arriving independently to the event on-time and in professional attire
• Assisting with station set-up and clean-up
• Confidently greeting and directing guests upon arrival
• Acting as tour guides to help families explore the campgrounds
• Supporting camp activities and general operations as a floater
• Monitoring water activity areas to ensure visitor safety (Lifeguards, if certified)
• Helping families discover exciting camp programs
• Providing feedback on the event

Shift: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Who We're Looking For:

• Minimum age: 12
• Able to independently arrive to work on time
• Passionate about volunteering and excited to learn
• Can commit to scheduled time of the shift
• Fluency in English
• Highly organized, detail-orientated and capable of managing multiple tasks
