
Youth Program Facilitator
Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Frontlines is seeking a Youth Program Facilitator who will play an important role in supporting community engagement and outreach functions at Frontlines. This position is responsible for planning, designing, and executing promotional materials to inform and educate the public, media, and other key audiences about Frontlines’ programs, campaigns, and events.
In addition, the Youth Program Facilitator will collaborate closely with the Youth Outreach Workers and Youth Engagement Specialists to design and deliver programs for youth, expand awareness, strengthen community connections, and increase the outcomes and impact of Frontlines’ programs and services.
Additionally, the Youth Program Facilitator will facilitate sessions with culinary staff and guest presenters, prepare program reports, conduct participant check-ins, and gather feedback. They will finalize the curriculum, manage schedules, and make referrals when needed. The role also includes coordinating fun activities and trips with the Teens Department and handling incentives or honoraria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create an inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment for participants of all backgrounds.
- Facilitate engaging programs, workshops, and activities for youth and community members.
- Develop program Plans and calendars aligned with participant needs and organizational goals.
- Provide mentorship and support to youth, fostering personal and professional growth.
- Monitor and evaluate program success through feedback collection and outcome tracking.
- Support with the preparation of promotional materials and program reports.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and program impact.
- Support outreach and recruitment efforts to engage youth in programs and events.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to strengthen program delivery.
- Ensure programs meet organizational policies and best practices.
- Assist with March Break and Summer Camps, special events, and fundraising activities,
- Supervise placement students and volunteers, offering guidance and feedback.
- Maintain clean and organized program spaces.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
- Provide case management, including needs assessments, job coaching, and mentoring to help youth develop workplace skills and habits.
- Demonstrated knowledge of social service resources and child and youth-serving systems, including the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) and the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA).
- Collaborate with service providers and external agencies to strengthen partnerships, expand opportunities, and enhance program impact.
- Track and report on outreach activities, youth needs, and program outcomes to support evaluation, reporting, and organizational development.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Community Development, Social Work, Fundraising, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilitating workshops, training, or community programs in a nonprofit or educational setting, or related experience in youth engagement
- Experience in program planning, curriculum development, or group facilitation
- Experience working with diverse populations, particularly youth and marginalized communities.
- Proficiency with online platforms and design tools, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WordPress, and Canva.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear presentations.
- Valid driver’s licence, clean driver’s abstract, and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (asset).
Working Conditions:
- Free on-site parking.
- Typical hours are Monday to Friday, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, or later, and weekends as needed.
