About Us:

Sai Dham Food Bank is a non-profit organization on a mission to ensure that no one in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) goes to bed hungry. For over a decade, we have supported thousands of seniors, families, students, and individuals facing food insecurity through food distribution programs, doorstep deliveries, and community support services.

Position Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support our warehouse operations. This role is ideal for people who want to make a direct impact in their community by helping prepare and organize food supplies for distribution to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and organize donated food items (dry, fresh, and packaged goods)
  • Pack food hampers and grocery boxes for community distribution
  • Assist with preparing bulk orders for mobile food programs
  • Support loading and unloading of food supplies when needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse space
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily goals

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience required — training provided
  • Ability to perform light physical tasks (standing, lifting boxes, moving items)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to help where needed
  • Positive attitude and commitment to community service

Shift Details:

  • Flexible shifts available (2–4 hours)
  • Weekdays and weekends offered
  • Volunteers can choose times that fit their schedule
