Commitment: Minimum of 6 months, 1 shift per week (4.5 hours)

About Us

The Vancouver Women’s Health Collective (VWHC) is a non-profit health organisation dedicated to fostering health, wellness, and equity through feminist approaches to advocacy, shared knowledge, and low-barrier programs and services. Our mission is to empower all who identify as women, non-binary, and gender non-conforming.

Volunteer Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate volunteers who share our values and are ready to contribute their time and knowledge to support our collective and overall community.

As a volunteer with VWHC, you will:

  • Uphold our values of gender inclusion, intersectional-trauma-informed care, pro-choice principles, harm reduction, intersectional feminism, Indigenous reconciliation, LGBTQ2SIA equity, sex worker rights, racial equity, and disability inclusion.
  • Work effectively in the Downtown Eastside community.
  • Commit to a minimum of one 4.5-hour shift per week, with an initial commitment of at least 6 months.

We are currently looking for Wednesday - Friday volunteers

Qualifications

  • Some knowledge or lived experience related to health and social services is preferred.
  • Strong alignment with our values and mission.
  • Ability to commit to the required shift schedule and training.
