Help us give rescued parrots a second chance.

Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary is looking for dedicated, compassionate volunteers to join our team and help care for the of parrots who depend on us at our South Delta, British Columbia location. Transportation is required due to our rural location.

Volunteering at Greyhaven is more than cleaning cages and feeding birds. It is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of parrots who have experienced neglect, abandonment, poor care, or other difficult circumstances.

Our volunteers help create a safe, enriching environment where parrots can heal, learn, and thrive.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities may include:

  • Cleaning cages, aviaries, and bird areas
  • Preparing and providing food and fresh water
  • Maintaining a clean and safe sanctuary environment
  • Providing enrichment activities and preparing toys
  • Helping parrots become comfortable with people
  • Helping with sanctuary maintenance and special projects
  • Supporting staff with day-to-day sanctuary operations

  • Able to work independently once trained
  • Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and cleaning
  • Respectful of the individual needs and boundaries of each bird
