Do you have a talent, passion, or skill you’d love to share?

Oliver House is a supportive housing community located in Caledon Village, dedicated to helping adults living with schizophrenia and other complex mental health challenges lead meaningful, independent lives. We provide 24-hour support, nutritious meals, medication management, and opportunities for social connection through daily activities and community engagement. Our compassionate team is committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment where every resident can thrive.

We’re looking for kind, creative volunteers who can help enrich the residents’ days through group activities and workshops. Whether it’s painting, crafts, music, chair yoga, mindfulness, baking, storytelling, or another hobby you love - we’d be thrilled to have you join us!

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and lead a small group session or workshop
  • Engage residents in meaningful, enjoyable activities
  • Encourage self-expression, social connection, and confidence
  • Share your passion while making a real difference in someone’s day

Time Commitment:

Flexible - from a one-time visit to a recurring weekly or monthly session. We’ll work with your schedule!

We Provide:

  • A welcoming environment with staff assistance and supplies available
  • Orientation and guidance to help you feel comfortable and supported
  • Opportunities to build relationships and gain hands-on experience in a community care setting

How to Apply:

If you’re friendly, reliable, and looking to give back in a way that brings joy to others, we’d love to hear from you!
