We are seeking a passionate and creative volunteer graphic designer to support our communications and outreach efforts while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector.

Position Summary

The Volunteer Graphic Designer will work closely with the marketing and program teams to create engaging visual content that promotes workshops, events, community programs, and organizational initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity for students, recent graduates, emerging designers, or career changers seeking to build a professional portfolio while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Design promotional materials including flyers, posters, banners, and brochures
  • Create graphics for social media campaigns across multiple platforms
  • Develop visual content for workshops, events, and community initiatives
  • Assist in maintaining brand consistency across communication materials
  • Design presentation slides and digital marketing assets
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers on creative projects
  • Incorporate feedback and revise designs as required
  • Support special campaigns and fundraising initiatives when needed

Qualifications

  • Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar design software
  • Strong visual design and layout skills
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Interest in community development, employment services, newcomer support, or nonprofit work
