About Us
Dancing With Parkinson’s (DWP) is a not-for-profit organization offering dance and movement classes for people living with Parkinson’s disease and seniors. Our classes are inclusive, uplifting, and focused on building community through creativity and movement.

We’re currently seeking volunteer Dance Class Assistants to support our instructors during in-person classes. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back, make meaningful connections, and experience the power of dance—no experience required!

Class Location:
300 John St
Thornhill, ON

Role: Dance Class Assistant (Volunteer)

Responsibilities:

  • Help set up and take down the studio before and after class

  • Support participants during the hour-long dance session—this may include offering a steady hand for balance, assisting with transitions in and out of chairs, or helping with partner activities

  • Participate in the class with enthusiasm to help energize and encourage attendees

  • Assist the instructor with light administrative tasks such as attendance tracking

  • Create a warm, welcoming environment with your bright smile and positive energy!

Time Commitment:

  • 1 hour/week for in-person classes (plus 15 minutes before and after for setup/cleanup)
