Position Title: Admin and Community Connections

Location: 3363 Bloor Street West, Etobicoke, ON M8X 1G2

Terms: On average 2 to 3 days a week

Scope

Assisting with program delivery for community connections program and Admin.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup and delivery of workshops, events, and group activities for newcomers
  • Support staff with participant registration, attendance tracking, and evaluation forms
  • Help prepare materials and resources for program sessions
  • Greet participants, provide basic information, and help create a welcoming environment
  • Assist with data entry, photocopying, and other routine administrative tasks at the reception
  • Help maintain organized programs and office spaces
  • Support outreach efforts by distributing flyers or making follow-up phone calls as needed

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable working with diverse populations, including newcomers and refugees
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, email, data entry)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Respect for confidentiality and sensitivity to cultural differences
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and respectful of scheduling commitments
