About us
We are a dynamic grassroots group passionately dedicated to empowering new immigrants. Our mission is rooted in fostering unity, resilience, and collaboration within the black immigrant community. We believe in the power of individual stories, challenges, and triumphs, and we are committed to ensuring that each narrative is heard and celebrated.
What you will do
- Assist in organizing board and community meetings, events and workshops.
- Support the team in research and data collection related to immigrant experiences.
- Support the team in planning community events and ideas to support youths
- Help create content for our social media platforms and newsletters.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for community engagement.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed to support team activities.
What we are looking for
- Currently enrolled/recently graduated in a relevant academic program (required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (required).
- Passion for social justice and community empowerment (required).
- Experience with social media and content creation (optional).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team (required).
