Onboarding Coordinator (Volunteer)

- Location: Fully Remote
About Sprout Climate
Sprout is a volunteer-run organization of people from technology, climate, and community backgrounds. We believe the people closest to climate challenges are closest to the solutions. We work alongside urban Canadian communities and grassroots organizations, providing data tools, local insights, and storytelling support so communities can advocate for what they need and build the resilient future they want. Our work is based in Toronto, with plans to expand across Canada. What we do
- Data services: We help community and climate organizations collect, analyze, and visualize data that makes local challenges like heat, flooding, and food insecurity visible and actionable.
- Learning programs: We build confidence with data and climate knowledge for frontline workers, organizations, youth, and newcomers.
- Community connection: We create spaces and tools for people doing this work to find each other, share what's working, and build together.
- Climate anxiety research: We're developing a taxonomy to understand and name the mental health dimensions of climate change.
- Our projects include the Multilingual Climate Chatbot, the Climate Stories Map, Community Climate Data Workshops, and ClimateLens.
