What's the opportunity?

We are looking for new Reviewers to join our annual Review of Inspections of Long-Term Care Homes. Concerned Friends is committed to advancing the health and well-being and enriching the experiences of those living in long-term care homes across Ontario. Established in 1980, Concerned Friends, a registered charity has been active across Ontario communities for over 40 years. We are seeking Ontarians who have a strong sense of volunteerism, are looking to play an important role in the community we serve, and have an interest in the long-term care sector. What will you do as a Reviewer?

•â€‹ Enter the relevant data from each report of an inspection of a Long Term Care Home on an Excel spreadsheet which summarizes the report.

•â€‹ Upload the spreadsheet to the Concerned Friends shared drive regularly
•â€‹ Provide a summary of the data in your area at year end. The spreadsheet calculates the

totals.
•â€‹ Participate in 2-4 Zoom meetings a year of the Reviewers Committee.
•â€‹ Participate in email discussions with other reviewers as needed.
•â€‹ Serve as an ambassador for the organization

What do you need to succeed?

•â€‹ Be a resident of Ontario and support the Concerned Friends' vision, mission and values
•â€‹ A willingness to learn and collaborate with others
•â€‹ Computer with access to Microsoft Excel and Word, or to Google Sheets and Docs
•â€‹ Access to the internet.
•â€‹ Able to commit 80-100 hours a year
•â€‹ 2-3 hours of training will be provided
•â€‹ Be a member in good standing with Concerned Friends.
•â€‹ Reviewer Program members are required to sign a Volunteer Code of Conduct.
