Position: Resource Centre Student (Volunteer)
Reports to: Supervisor of Professional Learning
Location: Mississauga (Hybrid)
What We DO:
The Resource Centre provides access to resources that support various domains of learning. Resources support learning through play and offer activities that are developmentally responsive for children to foster problem solving and creativity. All resources available for loan reflect ‘How Does Learning Happen?’, Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years. Resources to enhance a program include: STEM, coding, puppets, light tables & light cubes, books, puzzles and more.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of the Resource Centre updates and projects (i.e; reorganizing categories, labeling, updating/editing resources, and database updates).
- Conduct administrative tasks to support the overall operations of Quality Initiative and the Resource Centre, including managing membership, payments, loans, and other related activities.
- Maintain electronic documents and manage documents and information on relevant portals such as SharePoint.
- Support the development of the Resource Centre updates and projects (i.e; reorganizing categories, labeling, updating/editing resources, and database updates).
Qualifications:
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
- Attention to details.
- Clear English verbal and written communication skills, second language an asset.
- Acceptable Vulnerable Check.
- Ability to respect confidentiality and abide by all legislation.
- Ability to work flexible hours and act independently and as a team player.
