Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours/week (Monday–Friday, on-site presence required)
Salary: $60,000 - $68,000, depending on experience

This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape Wellspring Chinguacousy’s dynamic roster of in-person and online programs, while also deepening our connection with communities across Brampton and Peel Region.
As Program Manager, you’ll play a vital role at the heart of our mission: ensuring that every person living with cancer has access to compassionate, high-quality, and culturally responsive support. You'll bring together your non-profit operational know-how, community-building skills, and commitment to equity to lead program planning and, supervise facilitators and program delivery, and co-create outreach strategies that reach individuals and families who may not yet know support like this exists.
This role offers the chance to shape both the day-to-day experience of members walking through our doors and the strategic direction of how we grow and adapt our services in one of Canada’s most diverse cities. You’ll be part of a small, mission-driven team that collaborates closely, moves quickly, and shares a deep belief that no one should have to face cancer alone.

Key Responsibilities
Program Planning and Delivery
- Lead the design and implementation of a seasonal and annual program calendar, ensuring programs align with member needs, engagement trends, organizational budget, and strategic annual goals.
- Oversee daily operations of in-person and online programs, ensuring smooth setup, logistics, and quality control.
- Coordinate special series and events (e.g., Well Talks, Leader get togethers, etc.)
- Serve as point person for day-of delivery issues and tech support (Zoom, AV, signage, room setup).
- Monitor program uptake, manage waitlists, and recommend new or retired offerings.
- Program supplies purchasing, equipment maintenance
- Oversee Leader health and safety policy, programs, and compliance
Facilitator (Leader) & Volunteer Management
- Recruit, onboard, and schedule Program Facilitators (called Leaders), including ongoing support and recognition.
- Manage the peer support program, ensuring safe and effective participant-volunteer matching.
- Provide support to the Operations director with front desk volunteer supervision and provide live support when needed.
- Ensure a compassionate and inclusive center culture, aligned with Wellspring values.
Program Evaluation & Reporting
- Track program attendance and engagement.
- Monitor program impact and outcomes, leading evaluation and quality improvement efforts.
- Ensure maintenance of data systems (e.g., Salesforce), ensuring clean, reliable input for internal use and external reporting.
- Collaborate with the ED, Fundraising, and MarComms on programs data-driven storytelling and grant reporting.
- Help identify and document impact stories from members, volunteers, and families.
Centre Operations & Member Support
- Maintain a consistent on-site presence at the Wellspring Chinguacousy center during business hours (Monday–Friday).
- Greet and welcome members, guests, and volunteers to ensure a warm, inclusive, and professional environment.
- Provide hands-on support for the daily rhythm of the center, including front desk coverage when a volunteer is not available, check-in tools, space readiness, and materials setup.
- Serve as a visible and accessible point of contact for member questions or needs throughout the day.
- Help uphold safety, cleanliness, and comfort standards in all program and communal spaces.
- Work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers to support a calm, compassionate, and member-centered environment.
Community Outreach & Equity-Focused Programming
- Build relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, faith-based groups, and cultural associations to raise awareness of Wellspring’s services.
- Represent Wellspring at community events, outreach fairs, and public education sessions to expand our reach and visibility.
- Collaborate with partners to co-create or adapt programs that are culturally relevant and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.
- Support the development of equitable, inclusive programming that reflects the diversity of Brampton and Peel Region.
- Participate in internal DEI initiatives and help educate staff and volunteers on inclusive service delivery practices.
- Recruit and support Leaders from diverse backgrounds to reflect and serve the communities we aim to reach.
- Help identify and reduce barriers to access for underserved groups, and support trust-building in new communities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience in program management, community outreach, or volunteer coordination
- Demonstrated success in building partnerships and trust with racialized or underserved communities
- Experience managing volunteers and/or community leaders
- Familiarity with platforms like Zoom, Salesforce, Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Compassionate and culturally aware
- Ability to work on-site 5 days/week
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, adaptive nonprofit environment
Preferred (Not Required)
- Fluency in Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, or other South Asian languages
- Experience in health care, cancer care, health equity, or peer support
- Experience with needs assessments, program co-creation, or facilitation
- Communications, presentation, or storytelling skills
- Experience with DEI-focused organizational change or training
