Job Type: Part-time (40 hours bi-weekly)

About Home Hospice North Lanark

Home Hospice North Lanark is a not-for-profit, registered Canadian charity founded in 2013. We are a “Hospice without walls,” providing compassionate in-home support—wherever home may be—for adults and their families facing a terminal diagnosis. All our services are provided at no cost, under the guidance of experienced Program Coordinators and dedicated trained volunteers.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time Program Coordinator to support clients and their families living with a terminal or life-limiting illness. You will conduct intake meetings, assign Visiting Volunteers, provide ongoing guidance, and help clients and families navigate available community supports. The role includes planning and delivering training for volunteers and participating in HHNL’s programs and outreach.

This is a Monday to Friday role, with no shift work or weekend duties. Some flexibility in working hours is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years as an RN or RPN in good standing with CNO
  • Hospice palliative care/community knowledge and training with a willingness to obtain certification from a recognized palliative care education/training program
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Experience working with volunteers and knowledge of community resources
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Criminal Reference Check
  • Three references (one from a former employer)
