
Peer Mentorship Opportunity for Young Women 18-30
About the Program
The Look Up! Lift Up! peer-mentorship program, funded by the Government of Canada's Social Development Partnerships Program, is designed to support the wellbeing and personal development of girls between the ages of 7–17 and young women ages 18–30 living within the GTA who identify as Black, racialized or belonging to an underrepresented community.
Mentors and mentees will be matched for 1 year (September 2025 - September 2026) and meet for 1-2 hrs. once per week.
The intended outcome of the match is to establish healthy relationships based on a sense of belonging, mutual respect, communication, trust, understanding, and accountability.

Located in Etobicoke-Lakeshore, the Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women's Empowerment is a charitable organization committed to empowering young women and girls between the ages of 7-17 years in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and across Canada.
We take a holistic approach to empowerment by providing programs that support the mental, physical, and social well-being of young women and girls; and, extend support to women and families in the riding of Etobicoke-Lakeshore in the GTA through our community programs and services.
