neXup Coordinator
The nexUp Coordinator (NC) position involves coordination of the neXup Youth Team and their initiatives and groups, provincial relational community work, and local donor/sponsor acquisition in support of the DUDES Club Society’s (DCS) youth strategy. The work includes building rapport with current youth and supporting outreach, coordinating outings and community events, and integrating cultural wellness activities and knowledge. The role is also responsible for developing and supporting clubs and young men’s wellness initiatives and activities in communities around the province.
This will require building good relationships with and supporting our existing partner communities around British Columbia. This will also be a partnership management role with each organization involved, including local community groups, local Nations, and Health Authorities (FNHA, PHSA, Northern Health). As such, the neXup Coordinator (NC) is responsible for communicating well on a personal, community, and partner level; along with providing appropriate information so that the DCS communications team can adequately share the good news.
The NC will be a primary point of contact between neXup and each of our existing BC youth wellness community sites and is expected to maintain clear and good communication with partner organization reps, community members, facilitators, elders, knowledge keepers, and other key community leaders. The NC will work closely with both the neXup Team and the broader DCS Team; and report directly to the Executive Director.
